Scattered thoughts, based on last Saturday's viewing:
1. This movie is LONG. I put it in the DVD player at a little after 5 PM and by 7:30 it was still playing. "This is like the Energizer bunny," I thought. "It just keeps going, and going, and going."
2. Some of Allu Arjun's mannerisms and facial expressions reminded me of Simbu, and not in a good way. But perhaps I've watched Simbu's movies so often that I "see" him in every dancing, fighting, OTT chocolate hero.
3. Hansika Motwani didn't annoy me. In fact, I actually--**gasp**--liked her. And she didn't look a day over 17. Must've been the makeup, or lack thereof.
4. The Bala-Vaishali storyline was similiar to Paap.
5. I don't know what this movie is about. I wasn't really paying attention. There were so many things happening that I lost focus, as well as interest. But that's okay, because I'm sure that a few months from now, I'll return to this post with at least one "ETA".
6. I recognized one of the actors as the guy who was engaged to Laila before Ajith killed him in Paramasivan. He was the one who got fresh with Hansika when she was begging in the market.
7. Rambha's item number was near the end, which was kinda disappointing. I hoped it would be at the beginning.
8. The bits of this movie that managed to sink into my brain made me like Allu Arjun enough to purchase Paragu(got it today), and I'm thinking about getting Bunny, even though I find the heroine rather unappealing.
Don't be misled by the title. There are no movies to download or view. The streaming video fairy does not live here; you'll have to look for her elsewhere.

Endrendrum Kaadhal(1999)
"Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet." But in this movie, not only do they meet, they also marry. (Quelle suprise!)
I loveloveLOVE Rambha. I had to stop myself from making too many caps of her.

Rambha so cute! I think she looks like a hybrid
of Britney Spears, Sridevi, and Divya Bharati

I am slowly falling in love with the 90s version of Vijay

Never pass up the opportunity to lecture a complete
stranger on how to be a proper Indian woman

"Oh, wow! What a great guy!"
"I know, right?"

"So what if we aren't married? You sleep on one
side of the bed and I sleep on the other!"
My favorite scene:

I should iconize this.

Ninaithen Vanthaai(1998)
If only I had known this was the second feature on the Dhanam 2-in-1 DVD when bhavani had it in stock! I could finish watching it online, but I'm old-fashioned and prefer watching movies on my TV, so at the moment, I'm clinging to the possibility that it's available from anytamil. If not, I'll suck it up and sit in front of my computer.
I <3 Rambha, and I <3 her even more when she's swinging from a tree à la Drew Barrymore in the opening scene of Poison Ivy ;) Toss in a sweetly dorky-looking Vijay and it's the seemingly perfect combo for a "Must watch, even if it sucks" flick. One reviewer referred to this movie as "The Tamil Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! without the tragedy". I thought HAHK was boring as hell(granted, I watched only a half-hour or so, but still...) but again, Rambha + Vijay = can't be that bad(and if what I've viewed so far is any indication, it's not).
So far, I found only the "Vanna Nilave" song on YouTube:
Rambha, the star of Vijay's dreams
The rest of the songs can be heard here.

Raasi(1997)
The original Wiki entry claimed that this movie ran for only 12 days. The number was later changed to 22. Now it simply states, "The film grossed $536,100". I wasn't at any of the theatres on the day this opened, but I'm inclined to believe the "it ran for 12 days" version. I can't imagine this running long enough to gross $100, let alone $536,100.
Having said that, I liked the movie--or rather, I liked the chemistry between Ajith and Rambha. Had Ajith been paired with a heroine I didn't particularly care for(e.g. Kadhal Mannan), it would've been even more of a struggle to sit through this. It's not a bad movie--well, it is, but it's watchably bad(for me, anyhow) and again, it's due to the Ajith-Rambha combo.
My man Prakash Raj looked like a throwback to the sixties with that unflattering wig. I don't know if it was supposed to make him appear younger or let the audience know that he was the bad guy. I should've made a cap or two. Speaking of which...
A few caps of three of the songs(which are good, btw. I especially like "Yenadi Yenadi" and "Kadhalin Desam"). I may add more caps later, if I remember.
Aside: I remembered. This post is quite image-heavy. Not for the impatient or those on dial-up.
"Thendral Thendral":

When I made this cap, I immediately thought
of the Sadma LP cover

I wish I were this flexible. Seriously.

"Yenadi Yenadi":

I love ya, Ajit, but I wish I could've
handed you a bottle of Proactiv®
"Kadhalin Desam":

YouTube links to the other songs: "Ennai Thaedatho" "Ennachchu" "Poo Maalai"
ETA: Prakash Raj's wig:

Rambha going in for the...kiss?

Darn! Missed!
Not to be deterred:

More smoochy...forehead:
